FAQs +

What's the difference between the Actichem LF (alkaline) and the acidic tile cleaner?

The LF (Low-Foam) is alkaline-based — safe for nearly all surfaces including natural stone, marble, and grout. It removes grease, soap scum, and body fats. The acidic version removes heavy scale and rust deposits. Use LF for routine maintenance and daily cleaning; use acidic version for deep descaling. Choose based on your specific stain type and surface material.

What surfaces is the Actichem LF safe to use on?

The LF formula is safe for ceramic, porcelain, quarry, terrazzo, and most natural stone including marble and limestone (unlike acidic cleaners). It's grout-safe and won't damage colour or integrity. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on porous stones. Refer to the SDS for complete surface compatibility information.

Can I use Actichem LF in auto-scrubbers or mop systems?

Yes. The low-foam formula is specifically designed for auto-scrubbers, mop & bucket systems, and powered floor tools. Low-foam means it won't create excessive bubble production that can damage equipment or create slippery floors. This makes it ideal for high-volume commercial cleaning in restaurants, hospitals, hotels, and shopping centres.

How do I use Actichem LF and can it be diluted?

Apply full strength or diluted depending on soil level. For light maintenance, dilute 50-80% with water; for heavy grease and soap scum, use full strength. Apply with mop, spray, or auto-scrubber. Let sit 5-10 minutes for stubborn grime. Scrub lightly if needed, then rinse thoroughly with water. The 5L container typically covers 100-150 m² depending on dilution and surface condition.

Is Actichem LF environmentally safe and what precautions should I take?

Actichem LF is formulated to be biodegradable and aquatic-safe when used as directed. For personal safety: wear gloves, ensure good ventilation, and avoid skin contact. Do not mix with other cleaners. Keep away from eyes. Rinse skin thoroughly if contact occurs. Refer to the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for full hazard information and first-aid measures. Dispose according to local regulations.
